Health, Safety & Environment

Enterra is committed to conducting our operations in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. We maintain plans and programs which address our regulatory requirements and ensure the health and safety of our employees and all others involved in, or impacted by our operations.

In 2008, the Trust continued its efforts in Canada to maintain regulatory compliance standards at or above industry norms. This work included various upgrades to older facilities and reclamation of formerly operational areas. In Oklahoma, where large volumes of water are routinely circulated and disposed of in special facilities, Enterra embarked on the installation of automated emergency shut-down systems in all water handling and disposal locations. This program is designed to reduce the risk of salt water spills.
